Wood is a natural product. Each item purchased may be slightly different from the examples pictured. Differences in wood pattern and minor fluctuation in color is typical for wood items. Since wood is a natural product and not manufactured, minor imperfections may be visible in the wood as well (especially in larger sized items). 
All of our products are beautiful - most LOVE the natural variance in color and wood grain that real wood provides!

We process our own wood for engraving. We buy wood that is harvested from sustainable forests, primarily in the Cascades and Appalachians. We then cut, sand and finish all of our wood for the products required, as well as custom engraving of your artwork.

Our GREEN WOOD is Beetle-Kill Pine wood which comes from the Rocky Mountains.  This is a beautiful recycled wood that has fallen naturally due to Pine Beetles; it is harvested from the forest floor. Beetle-kill pine wood provides the most variance in color from one item to the next, and this, along with it's beautiful pine & blue coloring, is what environment fans love most about it!
