Green Manufacturing / Sustainable Forest Products
                                Sustainable Forest Wood products
The wood we use for engraving our products comes from sustainable forests.

The majority of the wood Unique Custom Products uses for manufacturing custom wood products comes from the Appalachian Mountains and the Cascade Mountains.  Both mounain ranges have been Verified as Sustainable.  There is actually more harvestable lumber today than there was 100 years ago.

The Applacian Hardwood Forest grows: Oak, Maple, Cherry, Walnut.  For every tree that is harvested in the 344 county Appalachain Region, 2.29 more trees are growing. This research was released by the US Forest Service.
See this web site for more on the statistics:

The wood we use out of the Cascades is Alder and Birch.  The companies supplying this product are Washington Alder LLC, Cascade Hardwood LLC and Port Angeles hardwood LLC.  They are part of the SFI (Sustainable Forestry Initiative) which practices a land stewardship ethic of principles, objectives and performance measures that integrates Best management practices and Forest practice Rules and Reulations.  To learn more on Cascade Hardwoods go to: www.cascadehardwood.com

Our Ultimate Green Wood comes from Northern Colorado.  It is the blue stain pine also referred to as beetle kill pine.  It is recycled wood from trees harvested off the forest floor.   The wood has been kiln dried and can be made into any of our many engravable products.
